The video from my phone camera is missing or corrupted. What happened?

For security and test review reasons, all video from your phone camera must be uploaded and accessible. If any video is missing or corrupted, your test will be canceled or invalidated.

If you received a message that video from your phone camera is missing or corrupted, please follow these steps before testing again:

  • Make sure your phone is fully charged or plugged into a charger.
  • Set your phone to do not disturb. Make sure none of your contacts are set to bypass Do Not Disturb. Receiving any notifications during the test could lead to your session being invalidated.
  • While setting up your phone as a secondary camera, check your computer screen to make sure the phone video is visible.
  • Do not touch your phone during the test.
  • Close all other programs running on your computer.
  • Close all other apps on your phone. The browser window with the phone video stream should be the only thing open.
  • Make sure you are on an internet connection with at least 2 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps upload speed. You can type “internet speed test” into most search engines and find a quick and free way to test your speed.
  • Ask anyone else using your same internet network to disconnect while you are taking the test, and disconnect all other devices connected to your internet network.
  • Try to take the test late at night or early in the morning, during off-peak network times.
  • If the above steps do not work, try using a different phone and a different internet network.
