Your phone must record your screen and keyboard throughout the entire test. If the camera stops recording before you complete the test, your session will be cancelled and you will need to retake the test from the beginning. This will also use up one of the attempts on your test credit.
If you received a message that your phone camera recording was interrupted, please follow these steps before testing again:
- Make sure your phone is fully charged or plugged into a charger.
- Set your phone to do not disturb. Make sure none of your contacts are set to bypass Do Not Disturb. Receiving any notifications during the test could lead to your session being invalidated.
- While setting up your phone as a secondary camera, check your computer screen to make sure the phone video is visible.
- Do not touch your phone during the test.
- Close all other programs running on your computer.
- Close all other apps on your phone. The browser window with the phone video stream should be the only thing open.
- Make sure you are on an internet connection with at least 2 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps upload speed. You can type “internet speed test” into most search engines and find a quick and free way to test your speed.
- Ask anyone else using your same internet network to disconnect while you are taking the test, and disconnect all other devices connected to your internet network.
- Try to take the test late at night or early in the morning, during off-peak network times.
- If the above steps do not work, try using a different phone and a different internet network.
