What should I do if my test freezes, cancels before I finish, or won't upload once I complete it?

Issues with the test freezing, canceling midway through, or failing to upload are usually caused by a weak or unstable internet connection. 

If your test freezes or cancels midway through, you will need to take the test again from the beginning.

Once you complete the test and it starts to upload, do not open any additional programs or windows, and do not exit the Duolingo English Test app. Depending on your internet speed, it can take several minutes for the test to finish uploading. If the test stops uploading, or fails to upload, you will need to take the entire test again. 

Please note that you will need an internet connection with at least 2 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps upload speed. We recommend using a stable, wired ethernet internet connection instead of using Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot services. You can type “internet speed test” into most search engines and find a quick and free way to test your speed. 

You should also make sure all other programs and closed before beginning the test.
