In order to take the test on macOS, you will need to grant keystroke receiving access to the Duolingo English Test desktop app. If you do not grant this access, you will be unable to start the test.
Unsure if this access is granted for the Duolingo English Test desktop app? Please follow these steps:
- Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Input Monitoring tab.
- Unlock (click) the lock icon in the lower-left to allow you to make changes to your preferences.
- Select the checkbox next to the Duolingo English Test app icon.
