In compliance with restrictions enforced by several countries, including the U.S., UK, and European Union, the payment processors for the Duolingo English Test are suspending transactions from test takers located in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) regions of Ukraine. This means test takers from these regions cannot purchase the Duolingo English Test as of March 1, 2022.
In addition, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express have suspended business in Russia. These cards issued in Russia cannot be used to make purchases within or outside Russia. Test takers in Russia may attempt to use different payment methods, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee they will work with our payment processer at this time.
