An Unofficial Result is a score obtained from a test that did not go through the certified proctoring process. Unofficial Results cannot be sent to institutions.
Some institutions use the Duolingo English Test for internal purposes only. These institutions sometimes provide test vouchers that allow for exceptions to our test rules, such as uploading unofficial forms of ID or taking the test in a group setting like a computer lab.
Results of tests taken with these vouchers are automatically shared with the institution that provided the voucher. However, since these tests may not follow all our test rules, their results are considered unofficial and they cannot be shared with any institution other than the one that provided the voucher.
