An Unofficial Result is a score obtained from a test that was sponsored by a specific institution and which does not provide results that can be shared with other institutions.
Some institutions use the Duolingo English Test for internal purposes only. In some cases some institutions may provide test vouchers that allow for exceptions to our test rules, such as uploading unofficial forms of ID or taking the test in a group setting like a computer lab. In other cases, the sponsoring institution has simply decided that only the sponsor will be able to receive these test results for their internal use.
Results of tests taken with these vouchers are automatically shared with the institution that provided the voucher. However, Unofficial Results cannot be shared with any other institution.
If you wish to achieve Duolingo English Test results that can be sent to more institutions, you would need to purchase a new test.
